Make sure your domain name is simple to pronounce in other languages and check the translation of your choice of words into other languages does not result in an insulting or unusable name

Do trademark searches

Before you purchase a domain make sure that you are not using a word, or even part of a word, that another business/company has trademarked and used as a trademark, in a domain, or on social media sites.
This is also true if the name you have chosen is a fabricated one, and therefore isn’t covered under the protections offered by common usage.
If you copy big names or have a name that is very similar to another website as you could end with a legal challenge. Take care to choose a name that is unmistakably yours.
Trademark Infringement can be a big issue. That business/company could sue you for trademark infringement and it could affect your reputation and your brand as well as your pocket.
If you have a unique brand name, it’s advisable that you have it trademarked to protect your brand from future infringement and brand jacking.

Consider a Local Option

If your market is local consider using the area your business covers in the name. This will draw those nearby to your site when they search the internet.
