The Right Domain Extension (TLD)

Every domain name has a domain suffix or extension (the last part of a domain name after the dot) which is referred to as a top-level domain or TLD.
When determining the right domain name for your business, you also need to be aware of the effects of picking one TLD over another.
Choosing the right extension can make the difference between your website being found or not.  
The TDL indicates the type of website the domain name represents - for example .travel
For big businesses, it is practical to aquire all the major domain name extensions for their chosen domain name, and redirect them to their site.
